This review is specifically in regard to Dr. Abhishek Bhardwaj. I had the pleasure of having an initial consultation with him a few weeks ago and I’m expressing my thoughts in this forum because I was totally blown away by everything to do with this physician in a most positive way.
Initially he introduced himself and immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease by asking some regular every day type questions and at the same time giving me a little insight into his background. It is rather rare, but so important and invaluable to patients when they realize that the doctor shows some interest in who they are as a person and not just there purely to treat or diagnose an illness. I did not feel a time pressure either. I have transported patients, been involved in the “cancer community”, participated in market research about the way in which doctors interact with their patients and would definitely remark that this is what patients really want/crave in a doctor. They need to be heard and sometimes have the desire to unload some personal things about their lives. Dr. Bhardwaj displayed all the attributes of what patients really need. He was kind, caring, compassionate and totally understanding about medications and the difficulties some patients have in obtaining them.
I instantly felt completely at ease with this doctor and felt that I was being seen and heard.
I would highly recommend him for his “bedside manner”, gentle interaction, eye contact and his obvious credentials and experience in the fiield. I am so pleased to have discovered this doctor and realize that our doctor/patient relationship will be strong and supportive.
I would highly recommend him to anyone searching for a good pulmonary physician.
